WINTER WONDERLAND

Hope everyone is safe and warm as we welcome Winter to the Northwoods.  We surely didn't need the extreme cold, but the snow cover is very important to the health of the golf course. Without snow the grasses (both greens and fairways) can dry out so badly that we might lose an entire green or fairway, or worse. The snow holds both the moisture and the warmth(?) in the ground. We will monitor the course all winter and as needed you'll see us removing some snow to reduce the risk for "snow mold".

In addition, this first significant snowfall will allow the snowmobile community to begin grooming the trail spur to Blueberry from the trail linking Menahga/Wolf Lake/Park Rapids.  You snowmobilers can also begin and end your day from our parking lot.  Then enjoy a meal or toddy.
